Computational models of spatial memory 

This paper is a bit outside of our usual theme but I thought it would be interesting to some. The paper is a review of computational models of spatial memory, but from a top-down ‘map-like’ perspective – as assumed to be necessary to account for the behaviour of vertebrates. It provides a comprehensive review and systematically breaks down models in terms of level of modeling, types of representation, generality and abstraction, and relationship to possible neural circuitry. Having a comprehensive review such as this can be very useful – as such I thought it would be good to share.
